The Easter Triduum is the summit of the liturgical year. This is one great liturgy, only that it takes place in three scenes. The first begins with a Holy Mass. The Lord's Supper, during which we experience the mystery of Christ crucified. The second scene, from Friday evening through the Passion liturgy, is the mystery of the Buried Christ. And this most important liturgy of the Easter Vigil is the mystery of the Risen Christ.
