What and why must be included in the Christmas basket and what do the food symbolize in it symbolize? Organizers of Easter workshops for children have prepared answers to these questions.
On Saturday, April 9, Easter Workshops for children were held at the Licheń sanctuary. Classes started at 9.00 a.m. and ended at 12.00. The meeting place was the Retreat House of St. John Paul II, the so-called Papal Apartments (the building in the older part of the sanctuary, next to the hospice). 32 children signed up for the workshops.
The youngest and slightly older ones, aged 2 to 11, got to know the symbolism of the Lord's Resurrection: they painted Easter eggs, prepared the Easter cake and decorations for the festive table. The classes were supervised by employees Pilgrim Service Offices and other workers of the Lichen shrine. There was also time for physical activity carried out by songs and dances. Participants came with parents, friends and family. Mrs. Ewelina and her daughter Maria heard about the meeting from her sister-in-law. - The daughter is delighted. The most important thing is that the children got to know the symbolism of the Easter basket and Easter, she said.
The workshop was organized by Pilgrim Service Office lichen sanctuary. On behalf of the children, we would like to thank all those involved in the preparation and course of the workshop.
