SANKTUARIUM MATKI BOŻEJ LICHEŃSKIEJ BOLESNEJ KRÓLOWEJ POLSKI

Love is our identity - we thank God for His love

The day of lovers and those who feel unloved, rejected, forgotten, lonely became an opportunity in the lichen sanctuary to thank God for His love and for the love we experience from other people.

Southern Mass. on Sunday, February 13, was presided over by Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, custodian of the Lichen sanctuary. - The greatest truth about man is that man wants to be loved and wants to love. The word love is the most characteristic of our identity, said the Marian during his homily.
- Love is where God is. The truth about man is explained in the Lord God who is love. We are to always remember this, live this truth. We are made of love, this is our beginning - God who is love. He wanted us to exist and for our existence to be eternal. This is how we understand love as well. Loving someone means wanting someone to exist forever, eternally, and this can only be done by God. Among the problems of the modern world, when we cannot say that we are happy people, it is enough to find ourselves in the space of happiness that I am loved by God - emphasized the curator of the Lichen sanctuary.
He noticed that some felt rejected and unloved. Similar situations are a great danger not only for human happiness, but also for life. You can then stop loving yourself and withdraw from life without finding its meaning. And it is enough to see the outstretched hand, notice the tiniest shard of love, and, above all, lean on the foundation - there is someone who loved me and will always love me - God.
Continuing his deliberations, the curator remarked that others gave up under the burden of various problems in relationships. They start to accuse, claim that they cannot cope, cannot love and overcome the crisis. This applies to fiancées and spouses. - The solution is possible because we are made in the image and likeness of God, and God is love. It is love that is our identity. Thanks to God's love, we are able to love others, even the most difficult love of our enemies, in the literal sense of sacrificing our lives for others or serving them every day. You have to remember about it and get closer to God in order to live this truth - he said. - Until I really fall in love with God, I will never be able to love another person. Let us open ourselves to his love, also during the Eucharist, encouraged the custodian priest.
