In the homily of Fr. Janusz Bialucha, MIC, referred to the Gospel according to St. John's mention of turning water into wine at a wedding feast at Cana in Galilee. - "Through the intercession of the Mother of God, man can obtain favors from God."

Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa is one of the four churches located in the Marian Sanctuary in Licheń Stary. Originally, on the site of today's church, there was a wooden cemetery chapel. On September 29, 1852, the painting of the Mother of God was transferred to her from the Grąblin forest, where the apparitions of Mary were experienced by the local shepherd, Mikołaj Sikatka. In 1857, the painting of Our Lady of Licheń was placed in the newly built, brick church of St. Dorothy, next to which the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Licheń was developed.
