Retreats in preparation for general confession - the path of conversion

Retreats organized in the Licheń sanctuary are aimed at people undertaking an important change in their lives. Thanks to it, they can leave behind a negative past, which, through unspoken sins, burdened their further development. General confession is also an opportunity for profound conversion.

Fr. Jarosław Hybza, MIC, administering the sacrament of anointing the sick
- During these retreats a new life begins - says Mrs. Iwona, who came with her husband for the retreat from Olsztyn. The spouses associate their conversion with Our Lady of Licheń. They admit that initially they were accompanied by stress, which was quickly eliminated by Fr. Jarosław Hybza, MIC, who leads the retreat.
The first of the conferences given by the Marian concerned the Good Samaritan, who is Jesus Christ himself who finds us on our way of life. - We also lie on our way of life wounded by sin and Christ comes to heal and heal us - emphasizes Fr. Hybza.
The next topic was the topic of evil penetrating the human heart, based on the example of Adam and Eve.
The participants also considered the conditions for a good confession, and then reflected on the conclusions drawn from the parable of the Prodigal Son Returning to the Father.
A married couple from Olsztyn willingly returns to the Licheń sanctuary, despite the considerable distance. They emphasize that common retreats bring them closer together, allow them to build a relationship and grow in faith.
Henryk and Alicja Kiedrowscy from Pięćmorgi participated in this kind of retreat for the first time. Mr. Henryk read that people leave this world smiling, without sin. Before her eyes is her mother, who lived 100 years and 9 months, passed away with a cheerful spirit. - This is also my desire. I experienced this retreat deeply in every respect - says Mr. Henryk. The silence of the sanctuary in the winter months was conducive to contemplation, and the good weather allowed for walks along the alleys. The attending priest was also great. We will definitely come back to Licheń with my wife - he added.
At the end of the retreat, Fr. Jarosław gave the participants of the sacrament of anointing the sick and gave God's blessing.

Retreats in preparation for general confession are held frequently at the Licheń Shrine and are of great interest. Young people who embark on the path of conversion or want to sum up a stage of their life also participate.
