One of the forms of devotion surrounding the Church's sacramental life is the Way of the Cross, commemorating the events that took place from the condemnation of Jesus by the tribunal of Pilate to Calvary. On Friday, April 1, the service in the form of music was conducted by the sanctuary music group "Galilea".
Who will believe what we heard? To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? He grew up in front of us like a young tree and like a root from a dry earth. He had neither grace nor brilliance to look at, nor appearance to please us. Scorned and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows, used to suffering, like someone hides his face from, despised so much that we had him for nothing. But he bore our suffering, he bore our pains, and we found him condemned, flogged by God and trampled underfoot. But He was pierced for our sins, crushed for our sins. He was chastened with salvation for us, and in his wounds we are healed.
The service was celebrated after the Holy Mass. at. 18.00. During the Musical Way of the Cross, you could listen to the reflections accompanying the events on the Way of the Cross of Jesus. These considerations were supplemented with songs that allowed for a deeper understanding of what Jesus did for us by giving his life on the cross.
The procession with the cross was led by Fr. Bogusław Binda, MIC, superior of the Lichen religious community of Marian priests and brothers in Licheń Stary.
