Fr. Andrzej Rogalski, MIC, died on January 16, 2022 in Tomaszpol, Ukraine. His body was placed in the parish cemetery in Licheń Stary. The priest was accompanied on his last journey by Marian confreres, family, Licheń parishioners and employees of the Licheń sanctuary.
Holy Mass funeral in the parish church of St. Dorothy in Licheń at 13:30 was presided over by Fr. Tomasz Nowaczek, MIC, provincial superior of the Congregation of Marian Fathers and Brothers.
During the homily, a letter from Fr. Pavel Ostrovski, superior of the vicariate general in Ukraine. The author of the letter expresses great sadness after the death of the Marian, but also hope and faith that Fr. Andrew is now enjoying God's presence in heaven. We could also hear that the deceased's ministry mainly concerned Ukraine, where his family came from. - By preaching the Word of God, working for the good of the Church in Ukraine, he taught many people to believe in God. He did this by daily example, prayer, fasting, diligence, fidelity to evangelical love - we read in the letter.
We also find in it references to the Licheń sanctuary: - the late Andrzej was ordained a priest in Licheń, in the sanctuary. He carried out the priestly apostolate in the Ukrainian lands. Today, the same sanctuary is sent out by the late Fr. Andrzej to his Father's house: here it all began and here it completes - writes Fr. Pavel.
By adding my own reflection on the late Fr. Andrzej Rogalski, Fr. Tomasz Nowaczek, MIC thanked God for the attitude of the deceased's life. - Let us ask God to accept you to His glory, and in His infinite mercy He will forgive what was sinful - he concluded.
After the end of the Mass. funeral coffin with the body of late Fr. Andrzej Rogalski, MIC was laid to rest in the parish cemetery in the Marian quarters.
