SANKTUARIUM MATKI BOŻEJ LICHEŃSKIEJ BOLESNEJ KRÓLOWEJ POLSKI

After the coronation of the Miraculous Image, which took place on August 15, 1967, more and more pilgrims began to visit the sanctuary. Licheń was not prepared then to receive such a large number of them. The pilgrims drew their drinking water from a nearby lake. For this reason, a decision was made to dig a well.

The spring was consecrated on August 14, 1968. It was the eve of the indulgence and many believers participated in the ceremony. On the same day, an elderly lady from Pąchów (Kramsk commune), blind for twelve years, regained her sight after drinking water from the spring. There were witnesses to this event and this fact was considered the first miracle of healing at the spring.

Aby dojść do źródełka należy udać się schodami prowadzącymi od kościoła św. Doroty w dół, w kierunku jeziora. Po zejściu ze schodów i przekroczeniu jezdni, dochodzimy do celu. W sąsiadujących ze sobą kaplicach znajduje się studnia oraz kraniki do nabierania wody.
