The 22nd Bicycle Pilgrimage from the Pelplin Diocese entered Lichen
The pilgrims gathered on the steps of the basilica were greeted by Fr. Adam Stankiewicz, MIC, vice-custodian of the Lichen sanctuary. They still have 450 to 600 km to cover, depending on the group. This year, due to the pandemic, on their way to Jasna Góra, they travel across Poland differently, in five groups of 15 people.
Each group goes its own route, but we meet at important points. Such is undoubtedly the lichen sanctuary. We have been coming here for several years to pray at least for a moment in front of the Miraculous Picture of Our Lady of Licheń - informed the head of the bicycle pilgrimage, Fr. Tomasz Syldatk. They plan to reach Jasna Góra on August 13, to enter and bow to the Black Madonna with the pilgrimage from the Pelplin Diocese.
