Jasełkami Muzycznymi, w niedzielę 30 stycznia, zakończył się cykl świąteczno-noworocznych koncertów „Kolędowanie w bazylice”, odbywających się w licheńskim sanktuarium.
During the concert, the singers told the story of the birth of Jesus Christ by singing Christmas carols. The performance took place against the backdrop of a nativity scene, and the performers themselves, dressed in period costumes, took the viewers back to the times when the baby Jesus was born.
The script prepared by Justyna Zacharek included such popular Christmas carols as, for example, "Silent Night" and less frequently performed verses of well-known Christmas carols.
The audience also heard "Everything rejoices" - a piece from Eleni's repertoire and the Polish version of the 19th-century Christmas carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem". Phillips Brooks wrote it in 1868, inspired by Bethlehem as seen at night from the Palestinian hills.
- We are very happy with the atmosphere you have created. You brought us back to the times from two thousand years ago, said Fr. Janusz Kumala, the initiator of the event. Marianin invited to visit the unusual Licheń nativity scene also next year and announced another musical nativity play.
