During the Holy Mass celebrated in the basilica in front of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Licheń, Marian Fathers invite you to pray together and reflect on St. Joseph, guardian of the Lord Jesus and husband of Mary.
Morning Eucharist at 7.30 in the chair was Fr. Bogusław Binda, MIC, superior of the Lichen community of Marian priests and brothers. In the occasional word, the priest spoke of the person of St. Joseph not only as the best patron and protector, but as the most perfect model of Christian life.
"St. Joseph is characterized by virtues that we should follow: faith, hope, love of God and neighbor, purity of soul and body, justice, piety, prudence, peace, internal order. They never lose their relevance, ”said Fr. Binda.
"St. Joseph spent his entire life in poverty, which is why he is the patron of those who live in need and have difficulties, material difficulties. It teaches us not to be ashamed of any work, to combine an honest life with it "- continued the Marian, pointing out that St. Józef suffered a lot in his life and was persecuted. That is why he is so close to the fate of those persecuted, especially for their faith.
The superior priest also added that St. Joseph shows families the way of love, harmony and mutual fidelity. - “He is also a saint for young people to follow. He is the model and guardian of immaculate purity. It allows you to make a choice, leave your calling and place in life. He is a patron of difficult matters, complicated situations, weak, uncertain and hesitating people. Therefore, in difficult and uncertain times, it is worth asking St. Joseph for intercession and intercession with God ”- concluded the priest.
