To love, it means to remember - pilgrims during the midday Mass. in the Licheń basilica they prayed for the forgotten people.
It is important to realize that true love does not forget, but makes us carry our loved ones constantly in our heart. No man came our way by chance, but he was a gift to us at a certain time. This presence builds our identity, although sometimes we are not aware of it. On earth we learn to love people, and the Eucharist awakens in us a longing for God, living in His love every day.
Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, January 30, 2022
- Why is it worth remembering? In this way, we deepen our bonds with other people and prepare ourselves for the fullness of love in heaven, explained Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, custodian of the Lichen sanctuary. Pilgrims during the noon Mass. in the Licheń basilica, they prayed that Our Lady would help them remember those who are forgotten in the midst of their daily efforts. It was a time of gratitude to the people they met in their lives. - Every man is wanted and loved by God, without exception - the custodian priest invited people to adopt such an attitude not only towards their loved ones, but also towards all people.
